Langston Hughes (second from left) with guests at a breakfast party for him hosted by room mates Regina Anderson-Andrews, Luella Tucker and Ethel Ray at 580 St. Nicholas Avenue in Harlem 1925.
There is a warmness to the women as they playfully strike a pose for the photographer on the rooftop of the apartment building.
Here the men are not as playful as the women, but there are smiles all around with a young Langston Hughes (far left right) in front of friends with City College in the background (upper left hand corner).

would the delanys be of the famous centenarian sisters/science fiction writer family?
Jeanette,
We have not seen a connection between them but we do know that Hubert T. Delany and Clarissa Scott Delany were married. We’ll continue to do more research and see if we can find more information.
Thank you,
