Celebrating our nearly 25-year relationship with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute Neighborhood Concert Series.
The legendary Abbey Lincoln once said that “Claudia sings in the tradition of the great ones.” You’ll hear and see the proof through her resonant jazz styling and alluring alto register. The Chilean song stylist transcends boundaries, as she also draws on pop, rock, fusion and opera to deliver a mesmerizing Latin-infused evening of song. Chilean singer/songwriter/arranger Claudia Acuña possesses one of the most beautiful and compelling voices in jazz and creative music. While singing primarily in Spanish, her music crosses language barriers to communicate with power and deep feeling. Presented at Harlem Stage over ten years ago when she first arrived in New York, we are proud to bring her back for her own evening of song.
