FAFSA Financial Aid Day for Spanish Speaking Families
The SUNY Center for Student Recruitment located on 33 W. 42nd Street, New York will be hosting and facilitating their annual financial aid day for Spanish speaking families on Saturday, January 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This program will be tailored for any family that is currently in the process of applying for financial aid this upcoming academic year. This will be a step-by-step workshop on financial aid highly detailing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in Spanish.The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Award

Through its Education and Leadership Development Program, the Jackie Robinson Foundation provides scholarships of up to $24,000/four years to minority high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need to attend an accredited 4-year college or university of their choice.

FosterClub, the national network for youth in foster care, launched the All-Star program in 2004 and successfully incorporated current and former foster youth as facilitators and leaders of teen conference activities. The All-Stars were highly successful, proving wildly popular among teen conference attendees and providing a “real-life, been there-done that” perspective to FosterClub’s training programs. For the young people who serve as All-Stars, the opportunity has proven to be life-changing. Selected individuals will spend a portion of their summer living in Seaside, Oregon, and traveling to various locations across the country to train and influence young people in foster care on a variety of topics pertaining to child welfare. Camp G.O.A.L.S. for Girls 2013 Application Process Now Open!
