At Harlem’s School for the Arts, City Council members Robert Jackson and Inez Dickens hosted A Celebration of Black Culture award ceremony Honoring The Legendary Vy Higginsen, Voza Rivers of Harlem Arts Alliance, Marjorie Eliot of Harlem Parlor Jazz (award accepted by her Son), and Ty Jones of the classical Theater of Harlem.
These individuals were awarded Proclamations from the City of New York recognizing their contributions to the Community.
Also on hand was Deputy Manhattan Borough President Rosemond Pierre-Louis, with Health First Vice President George Hulse.
