3 Delicious Dip Recipes For Super Bowl Sunday In Harlem

Our friends at McCall Farms, offers the below recipes that are perfect for tackling game day entertaining.

Hail Mary Jalapeno, Corn and Okra Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup pepper jack cheese (not processed), shredded
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) Margaret Holmes Tomatoes, Okra and Corn, drained
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 3 tbs. pickled jalapeno rings, chopped
  • hot sauce (to taste)
  • 1 bag of corn chips

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except the corn chips
  2. Put mixture in a pie plate or other shallow dish sprayed with non-stick spray
  3. Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes, or until browning and bubbly
  4. Serve with corn chips

Blue 42 Black Bean Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbs. olive oil
  • 3 tbs. garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (15.5 oz) Glory Foods Sensibly Seasoned Black Beans, drained
  • 3 tbs. cilantro washed, dried and chopped
  • 3 tbs. fresh lime juice
  • 1/8 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp. white pepper, ground
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin, ground

Directions:

  1. Place olive oil and garlic in a small nonstick pan
  2. Cook covered over low heat 4 to 5 minutes to soften and brown slightly
  3. Place cooked garlic and oil in a food processor
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and process until smooth
  5. Remove from the food processor and place in a serving dish
  6. Serve dip with crackers, bread and vegetables

Red Zone Refried Bean And Chorizo Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced 1/8”
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced 1/8”
  • 1/4 cup yellow bell pepper, diced 1/8”
  • 6 oz. chorizo sausage, diced 1/4” pieces
  • 1 can (15 oz) Glory Foods Pinto Beans
  • 1/2 cup tomato salsa, mild
  • 1 tsp. Glory Foods Hot Sauce
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper, ground
  • 1/2 cup cheddar and/or Monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • corn tortilla chips or raw vegetables for dipping

Directions:

  1. Pour Glory Foods Pinto Beans into a mixing bowl
  2. Use a potato masher to crush about half the beans
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet with oil
  4. Stir in sausage, bell peppers and onions
  5. Sauté until sausage is slightly browned and the vegetables are softened
  6. Stir in the spices and heat for 15 to 20 seconds
  7. Add pinto beans and salsa, and mix well
  8. Pour the dip into an oven-proof casserole and top with cheese
  9. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbling
  10. Serve with corn tortilla chips or raw vegetables
