4-Month-Old Found Dead in East Harlem (Update)

harlem baby deiesPolice are investigating the death of an infant who was found unconscious and unresponsive in a daycare worker’s East Harlem apartment, on Thursday, night, police said Friday. Police found the 4-month-old boy, Ady Seck, while responding to a 911 call for an unconscious infant, police told source. Police arrived on the scene on the 1600 block of Park Avenue, between East 117th and 118th streets, around 5 p.m. to find the boy face-down in a crib, police said.

It was not immediately clear if the daycare worker is licensed, authorities said.

Little Ady, who lived with his family less than a mile from the daycare, EMS rushed him to Harlem Hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.

The city Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the infant boy’s cause of death.
