Q&A With Harlem City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito

a-Mark-Viverito_3Harlem Speaker Mark-Viverito will discuss the City Council’s outreach to the community and ethnic media, her State of the City address……the Council’s legislative agenda, including the Criminal Justice Reform Act, numerous challenges immigrants are facing in the city, affordable housing, issues confronting small businesses and workers rights.

Harlem’s Errol Louis, NY1’s Inside City Hall host and Director of the Urban Reporting Concentration at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, will be joined by Debra lee Santos (Manhattan Times) and Milton Allimadi (Black Star News). The panelists will ask a round of questions of the Speaker, after which time questions will be taken from other reporters in attendance.
