73-Year-Old Woman Dragged Out of SUV During Attempted Robbery In East harlem

73-year-old-dragged-from-suv-in-robberyA 73-year-old woman was taken to the hospital Friday night after being dragged out of an SUV and knocked to the ground in the southern end of East Harlem.

The woman, who’s identity has not been released, was entering her SUV on East 103rd Street near Lexington Avenue around 7:37 p.m. when an unknown male approached her and tried to grab her purse, police told Patch. The woman resisted, and was knocked to the ground during the struggle, police said.

The attacker fled the scene on foot and was last seen entering the subway at the 103rd Street six train station, police said.

The victim was able to hang on to her purse but suffered abrasions to her wrists, hands and knees, police said. She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was treated for her injuries, police told source.

The suspect (above) is described as a male standing 6-foot-2, police said. He was wearing a dark-color hooded jacket and scarf, dark pants and black sneakers with white soles, police said.
