Finally, people are taking note of the drastic affects HIV and AIDS are having on the African-American community! Leading this new effort is Jessica Ingram-Bellamy, co-director of Better World Advertising (BWA), a company that specializes in creating social marketing campaigns to discuss issues critical within our society. Ms. Ingram-Bellamy convinced BWA’s president, Les Pappas, to open a Harlem branch last January. Ad campaigns such as, "HIV stops with me" help unify the community and people that are stigmatized with such diseases, to "get back their dignity."
