Lora René Tucker, LMSW, CASAC, a/k/a “The Therapeutic Poet,” has had her poetry featured throughout New York City since 1992, including at the Poetry Project, the Bowery Club and Poetz.com. She is now offering a blog that will give busy New Yorker’s a good weekly dose of mind, body and soul by writing a prescription of poetry, prose and perspective. Her book of poetry, “Writes of Passage,” was debuted in June of 2010 and is available. As a social worker, Ms. Tucker offers workshops and seminars on empowerment, creative therapy, and cultural sensitivity and teaches Ethno Cultural issues in Social Work at NYU. Along with her line of crocheted beaded jewelry, she is working on her second book of poetry and continues to create and share her therapeutic prose and poetry in NYC.
