Additional Suspects Sought In Fatal Harlem Shooting Of Washington Heights Man

January 23, 2017

Police have released additional photos of men sought in connection with a fatal Dec. 14 shooting in Harlem in which a resident of Washington Heights was killed.

Police are now asking the public to help identify four men (pictured above) walking with Raheem McWhite, 32, before he was shot and killed. McWhite was seen walking with the men on Lenox Avenue between West 127th and 128th streets, police told Patch.

McWhite, a resident of West 157th Street, was discovered around 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 14 outside a restaurant on Lenox Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach, police said. McWhite was transported to Harlem Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

Police had previously release a photograph of three men walking south on Lenox Avenue after the shooting. The latest photo shows the presence of a fourth mean wearing gray pants and a gray and blue sweatshirt, who was not with the three other men after the shooting occurred.

The four men have not been named suspects in the shooting and nobody has been arrested, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or 1-888-57-PISTA (74782) for Spanish. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and entering TIP577. All tips are confidential.
