This star-studded charity event at Espace, 635 West 42nd Street, benefited the non-profit, the Allan Houston Legacy Foundation (AHLF) and sponsored by Sean John Fashions.
Founded by former NBA star and current Assistant General Manager of the New York Knicks, Allan Houston, the Foundation promotes entrepreneurship, mentoring, and a strong relationship between fathers and their children.
Monies raised from the Tournament and other fundraisers will help AHLF re-engage its Business Education and Development Program, expand its “Father Knows Best” Basketball Tour and F.I.S.L.L. (Faith-Integrity-Sacrifice-Leadership-Legacy) curriculum.
Guests included the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony, Amar’e Stoudemire, J.R. Smith, Metta World Peace, Knicks head coach Mike Woodson, NFL stars Plaxico Burress and Marcus Harris, New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey, actors Leon and Chaz Lamar Shepard, media personalities Sway Calloway and Angie Martinez, and former NBA stars Larry Johnson, John Starks and Basketball Players House wife’s.
