Dear Community Park Group Leaders in Harlem,

THERE’S STILL TIME to apply to the 2016 Partnerships Academy Fellowship program.

Do you want to develop your park group, with the support of like-minded community leaders?

Do you have goals for your group for 2016? Perhaps getting your 501(c)3 status, raising funds, or creating a structure for your group?

This FREE program exists just to support you!

Note: Previous Fellowship participants and mentors are invited to apply again, and work on new projects! Groups are also invited to apply together, and attend sessions together, or trade off attending sessions.

Fellowship participants work with Partnerships for Parks to create a timeline for their initiative, develop an action plan, monitor their progress, and evaluate their work. The program also includes peer mentoring, expert speakers, and a graduation event hosted by the NYC Parks Commissioner and CPF Executive Director.

In October 2015, the Partnerships Academy Fellowship and participant Vincent Riggins were featured in the Wall Street Journal.

Application deadline: Friday, January 15, 2016

Applicants will be notified of acceptance by Friday, February 12, 2016

Still not convinced? Hear from one of our happy graduates:

“I found the Partnerships Academy Fellowship to be really useful, and encourage other NYC Park advocates to apply. If you have a project that you have been stalling on, or need inspiration for a new project, the Fellowship will provide the support and resources to help you see it through.” –Marie Winfield, 2015 Fellowship Graduate and leader of the Friends of Thomas Jefferson Park Association.

My recommendation: Why not apply?
