Baryshnikov Dances His Way Into $1.4M Harlem Pad

March 23, 2017

Legendary ballet dancer, choreographer and actor Mikhail Baryshnikov, who fled the Soviet Union for freedom in Canada in 1974, has just purchased a Harlem condo for $1.4 million — more than its $1.32 million asking price.

Baryshnikov, who was nominated for an Academy Award in 1977 and later became a cult hit for his hot-daddy role in “Sex and the City” as Sarah Jessica Parker’s love interest, lived in Harlem for a number of years with his wife Lisa Rinehart.

They moved to the neighborhood after selling their historic home in the secret celebrity enclave of Snedens Landing in Rockland County for $4 million, as Gimme Shelter first reported in 2011.

The couple’s newly purchased 1,340-square-foot pad at the Strathmore, at 1890 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd., has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The prewar unit has high ceilings and an open kitchen.

Additional features include recessed medicine cabinets in the bathrooms.

The building, which has a limestone exterior, a wrought iron gated entry and a marble lobby, also has modern amenities: a virtual doorman and a gym among them.

The listing brokers were Nest Seekers International’s Ron Ovadia and Jonathan Ortiz.

Corcoran’s Linda Feder repped the buyers.
