After finally breaking through and working with sought-after producer Just Blaze, Budden scored his first big hit, “Pump It Up.” Budden’s stock continued to rise after signing to Def Jam; but, after a label dispute, Budden found himself without backing.  He would eventually land at Amalgam Digital, where he released Padded Room, Mood Muzik 3: The Album, Halfway House, and Escape Route.
