Harlem Stage is excited to continue its partnership with Edison Award-winning and
Grammy-nominated trumpeter Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah to re-establish jazz as a social music through the Stretch Music Residency. As part of the 2017 Spring Season, join us as we host the inaugural Stretch Music Festival and Stretch Music Intensive in addition to kicking off an exciting series of humanities and online engagement activities.

Come and explore the boundaries of R&B, Soul, Hip Hop, Trap, Jazz and Alternative music with some of music’s most daring musicians and improvisers as Christian Scott a Tunde Adjuah presents the first annual Stretch Music Festival. Featuring performances by Butcher Brown, Braxton Cook, Samora Pinderhughes presents Venus, The Bridge Trio, Sarah Elizabeth Charles and Matthew Stevens. The festival will also serve as a preview of Christian’s upcoming release Ruler Rebel.
