Up Close with CC Minton: Harlem Haberdashery Hosts Hospital Benefit

Harlem Haberdashery hosted its second Masquerade Ball benefiting Harlem Hospital Center’s Pediatric Outpatient programs.The event was held on Saturday, February 28 and celebrated the best and brightest of Harlem’s past, present and future.

The black-tie affair was held in the Mural Pavilion which was transformed into a festive and spirited space.  The ambiance of the evening energized guest to dance the night away in costume mask while enjoying a live raffle and entertainment, a silent auction, and an awards celebration.

The awards ceremony was MC’d by Harlem Council Woman Inez Dickens and Manhattan Boro President Gale Brewer.  Honorees included Man of the Year Henry (Hank) Carter of Wheelchair Charities, Inc., Woman of the Year Jackie Row-Adams of Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E., Trailblazer of the Year Leanne Stella of Art In Flux.

HW Magazine photographer Rudy Collins was on hand and had this to say, “What a beautiful crowd of Harlem’s best dressed.  The event was excellent with its live music, drinks and a savory menu curated by local restaurants; what more could you ask for.”

Harlem Haberdashery is an award-winning, bespoke boutique located in the heart of Harlem.  Harlem Hospital Center provides a wide range of medical, surgical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and family support services to the residents of Central Harlem, West Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood.
