Congressman Rangel Host Career Fair In Harlem

Rangel, in cooperation with The City College of New York and Harlem Community Development Corporation, is hosting a career fair on Tuesday, November 10th, 2015, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at The Great Hall of Shepard Hall, located on the campus of The City College of New York (W. 139th & Convent Street, New York, New York, 10031).

This event is part of Rangel’s continued effort to bring his constituents back to work and spur economy in his congressional district of New York’s 13th Congressional District that includes Upper Manhattan and parts of the Bronx.

“Whether you are looking to begin a career, improve your qualifications, explore a new profession, or hire an employee, I am here to help provide the opportunity,” said Rangel. “My top priority is ensuring that my constituents have access to high-quality, well-paying jobs. I hope that this event not only provides attendees with the chance to expand their horizon, but also to learn how to find and apply for different positions.”

The Rangel Career Fair in 2014 attracted over 1,500 job-seekers and representatives from more than 70 of America’s leading companies government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Many attendees left with job leads and new contacts, while participating employers were able to recruit candidates and distribute materials.

In effort to help his constituents find gainful employment, Rangel has reached out to various entities that will be participating in the upcoming career fair.
