Years after singing “Creole Love Call,” Davis was the only person The Duke allowed to re-record Adelaide Hall’s famous wordless vocal style on “Creole Love Call”.

Here’s an original recording of Ms. Davis’, Duke Ellington and the Duke Ellington’s Orchestra wordless vocals singing “Creole Love Call”.
