Drake Goes To Harlem With A$AP Rocky For ‘Wu-Tang Forever’ Video

January 16, 2014

It’s got to be hard for Drake to fly under the radar much these days, so when the OVO star shoots a video in New York City, people are bound to notice.

Word spread on Sunday night that Drizzy was filming a music video in Harlem for his “Wu-Tang Forever” track and while it doesn’t appear that any media was invited to the shoot, a reporter from Noisey made his way to set and grabbed a few telling pics.

The site caught a number of flicks with Drake mingling in the residential building’s staircase and mugging for the camera with Rocky on atop a stage.

Drizzy first dropped the song in September, several days before his latest album Nothing Was the Same was released. The track, which pays homage to the 1990s rap collective, was met with much fanfare, but also caused a bit of controversy as well. A number of fans felt that the R&B elements that helped drive “Wu-Tang Forever” wasn’t a proper representation of the nine-man rap collective.

Wu-member Inspectah Deck spoke out against the song and said that he wouldn’t appear on the proposed remix that is set to include several of the Wu MCs. “The majority of everybody [recorded their verses], probably minus three,” Cappadonna said when he appeared on “RapFix Live” back in November (Source).
