The certificate program is part of Teachers College’s Continuing Professional Studies program.

Theater of War, a production of the Outside the Wire theater and media company, uses Sophocles’ plays to forge a common vocabulary for openly discussing the visible and invisible wounds of war suffered by individuals, families and communities. Outside the Wire employs theater and other media to address pressing public health and social issues and foster understanding and compassion.

Theater of War attempts to mobilize citizens and resources to help improve the lives of service members, veterans, their families, and people in their communities. There have been over 350 performances of Theater of War for military and civilian communities throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.
