Falling Debris Injures Passerby In East Harlem

Police are investigating a report that debris from an East Harlem building that’s under construction came raining down onto the street Tuesday, hitting at least one person, cops said.

First responders raced to the First Ave. construction site near E. 117 St. about 10:40 a.m. for a report that a pedestrian had been struck by falling debris.

Medics rushed the victim to Harlem Hospital for treatment, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
