Flames Engulf Car Outside Harlem Meer At Central Park

NY Daily News reports that a car erupted in flames just outside Harlem Meer at Central Park early Friday.

A WPIX helicopter filmed the dramatic scene at Central Park West and West 109th Street in the Upper West Side about 8:30 a.m. Smoke billowing from the car, fully engulfed in flames, could be seen throughout Central Park.

Firefighters moved in and extinguished the blaze, the FDNY said. Nobody was injured.
