Ready for a little or big Harlem change of pace? Then be inspired by Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry, Opry City Stage, has a lineup of events planned in celebration of 2018 Fleet Week New York, May 23-29, 2018. The four-story venue is New York City’s home for authentic Southern food and daily live country music, and is opening its doors to the 2,500 service members expected to participate in the weeklong celebration.

With a 20% military discount on food, drinks and retail all year round, Opry City Stage encourages Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsman to enjoy the below events planned specifically for their visit to New York City. Further details on the lineup are included below:

1. 2018 Fleet Week Party with Roger Alan Wade

Wednesday, May 23 at 9:00PM

Opry City Stage is home to a 2018 Fleet Week New York kick-off party with Roger Alan Wade, an American singer-songwriter from Chattanooga, Tennessee and host of an hour-long weekly show, “Big Ass Happy Family Jubilee” on Sirius XM’s Outlaw Country channel with his cousin Johnny Knoxville. He’ll perform for FREE on the Second Floor Stage which provides entertainment to the second and third floor dining spaces. Service members will be given complimentary drink tickets.

2. Macy Gray in The Studio at Opry City Stage

Wednesday, May 23 & Thursday, May 24 at 8:00PM

A two-night special in The Studio at Opry City Stage, the fourth-floor ticketed venue, will host Macy Gray. The Grammy Award winning singer for Best Pop Vocalist is a mom of three teenagers and has been overturning fan expectation and industry formula since kicking off her music career with her debut 1999 CD, On How Life Is. That musical calling card spawned the classic single “I Try,” and both the CD and single were massive global hits. They kicked off a career ride that includes two Grammys, two MTV awards, over 15 million units sold, and a thriving acting career. Tickets are available beginning at $65, and a meet & greet with Macy Gray is available for $125.

3. USO of Metropolitan New York – Operation That’s My Dress

Friday, May 25 at 10:00AM (Closed to the public)

Renowned fashion designer Sherri Hill, whose designs have been worn by Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, will be on the fourth floor conducting dress fittings exclusively for visiting sea service women. Since the inception of Operation That’s My Dress four years ago, the USO of Metropolitan New York has hosted 25 events in 13 cities serving more than 30,000 service members, spouses and military teens. Hill has donated thousands of dresses, giving these women the chance to pick out a brand-new gown or cocktail dress from some of the most recognizable names in fashion. This event takes place on the fourth floor in The Studio at Opry City Stage and is closed to the public.

4. Live Stream of Grand Ole Opry

Friday, May 25 & Saturday, May 26 from 8:30PM- 9:00PM

Streaming live from Nashville, Opry City Stage broadcasts performances from the Grand Ole Opry on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:30pm for guests to enjoy while dining on the second and third floors.
