Harlem Armory Wins New York Landmarks Conservancy’s Highest Award

Harlem ArmoryThe Harlem Armory will be honored with the Lucy G. Moses Award, the New York Landmarks Conservancy’s highest award. After a recent $2.2 million rehabilitation of the home to the 369th Infantry Regiment “the Harlem Hellfighters,” the historic building will continue to be a shining architectural example of excellence in restoration and preservation. Rep. Charles Rangel is a Korean War veteran, he was honored to follow in the footsteps of the Harlem Hellfighters, black soldiers who fought valiantly and break barriers for decades. He has talked about how proud he is to have secured the federal charter for the 369th Infantry Regiment, whose contributions to our nation will never be forgotten.
