Join HAA members for a special segment featuring an intimate conversation with Jana Herzen, President of Motema Records and recording artist Jaimeo Brown with a Women’s History Month performance by vocalist, Mavis ‘SWAN’ Poole.

Less than five percent music industry record producers are women and the number who start or run labels are a rare breed. With that said, there are mavericks, pioneers and inspiring women who have ‘evened up the odds.’ One such maverick is Harlem-based Jana Herzen (Motema Records) who will share her inspiration for and the challenges and the joy of managing a record label and her deep and passionate commitment to Motema’s impressive roster of artists.
