November 4, 2016

harlem-grandma-gets-wheel-chairAnna Flores from Harlem has 30 grandchildren, but since August she hasn’t been able to keep up with them.

Her mobilized wheelchair has needed a new battery.

It costs about $1,000 to fix, more than this family can afford, so they have been fighting their insurance company for months to cover the expense.

Her daughter, Maria Flores, called PIX11 News for help.

“This has been very frustrating you should’ve see all the numbers on my table. But thanks to PIX11 News I got what I want,” Flores said.

A special thanks to her Dr. Leslie Kerr and of course Rainbow Supply for making it happen.

The battery will be installed Tuesday and you know PIX11 News will be there.
