Harlem Haberdashery Owners Launch Elegant For Prom Clothing Drive

On Saturday, April 11th Harlem photographer Hosea Johnson attended the launch of the Harlem Haberdashery Elegant For Prom clothe drive with owners Shayvionne Harris, Louis Johnson, Jr., and Sharene Wood and customers for behind-the-scenes kick-off shoot. 

Shayvionne HarrisHarlem Haberdashery are asking folks from Harlem to Hollis, Queens to stop by and donate their fancy accessories and clothing of gently used formal wear for boys and girls. Black Women for Black Girls Giving Circle and The Star Boutique will be the beneficiary of the donations for Elegant For Prom. Worthy teens will receive the gently used formal wear and accessories as well as new men’s tuxedos by new Japanese designers Red Carpet in New York.sharlene Wood (1)

louis johnson (2)Drop off your new, gently used and clean prom and/or graduation items from accessories (scarves, brooches, sunglasses, evening handbags, etc.), gift cards to evening wear (tuxedo, spring/summer suits, etc.).
