May 16, 2016

Dorothy MaynorThis is a “One of the Finest Soprano Voices Of Our Time” original Harlem collectible from 1948 campaign ad. It’s a beautifully designed black and white booking ad for Harlemite and soprano Dorothy Maynor 1910-1996.

In addition, Ms. Maynor was founder of the Harlem School of the Arts in Harlem, New York. She was managed by Lawrence Evans and Weinhold, Inc., who probably designed the poster for the 1948 campaign year with accolades from New York City to Chicago to Rochester.
