Harlem Students Walk Out And March Against Gun Violence

Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer will greet students participating in the National School Walkout Against Gun Violence at her Northern Manhattan Office on the morning of Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

As part of the National School Walkout Against Gun Violence, students from Harlem’s Columbia Secondary School for Math, Science, & Engineering will leave their school at approximately 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

After a 17-minute observance for the 17 victims killed in the Parkland, Fl. shooting, a group of Columbia Secondary’s high school students will march to Brewer’s office and stop there at approximately 10:30 am, before continuing to the Harlem State Office Building (where U.S. Rep. Adriano Espaillat’s office is located) to protest congressional inaction on gun violence. Borough President Brewer will greet the students when they arrive at her office.
