Harlem based Allan Harris, a world-class vocalist, guitarist and songwriter, returns to Smoke in support of his latest album Nobody’s Gonna Love You Better: Black Bar Jukebox Redux. Variety calls Harris “a velvet-voiced jazz singer, with a savvy manner and music in his veins” and The Miami Herald adds that his voice and demeanor “project the warmth of Tony Bennett, the bite and rhythmic sense of Sinatra, and the sly elegance of Nat ‘King’ Cole.” Harris’ smooth vocals and captivating guitar work fit easily in genres from jazz to rock to blues, but it’s captivating interpretations of the standards that might be the most unforgettable.

Allan Harris, guitar & vocals, Pascal Le Boeuf, piano, Leon Boykins, bass, and Shirazette Tinnin, drums.

Fri, Saturday and Sunday, July 14, 15 and 16, 2017
