Harlem’s Azealia Banks New Song “Escapades, 48k Monitor Mix” (Audio)

June 26, 2017

Azealia Banks is back with more new music. The Harlem native drops “Escapades (48k Monitor Mix),” a free demo version of her upcoming first official single from Banks’ forthcoming mixtape, Fantasea II: The Second Wave. The demo is fantastic, showcasing Banks’ wonderful versatility, while she sings over uptempo production.

“Build me, love me, lift me high/Relax my soul and ease my mind/More than lust, more than sex and love,” she sings on the chorus.

Banks also tweeted that “Escapades” is what “was supposed to come” of her collaboration with Disclosure back around the time of her debut album Broke with Expensive Taste. In 2014, following the release of Broke with Expensive Taste, Banks did an interview with The Guardian and explained that she scrapped a recording session with Disclosure because they were “really rude in an interview, so I canned it.”

Earlier this month, Banks dropped her fantastic record “Chi Chi,” via her new record label Global Records and last week she squashed her longstanding beef with former rival Iggy Azalea.

There’s no release date on when Fantasea II: The Second Wave is coming out but hopefully it drops sometime this year. Listen to “Escapades (48k Monitor Mix)” below.
