We want to congratulate longtime Harlemite and once Riverside Church Theater Executive Director Jewel Kinch on her new job as the Executive Director of the Hudson Valley Writer’s Center in Sleep Hollow, Westchester, NY.

Word has it that she is excited about leading this 27 year-old organization, housed in the restored, historic Philipse Manor railroad station, to promote creative writing and the connections of literature to the other arts.

One example of the work she will be doing is next Friday, July 31, husband, business partner and Harlemite Greg Thomas is giving a presentation on the Vocalese mastery of Jon Hendricks as part of a new series, “Lyrics As Poetry.”
