A National Weather Service Heat Advisory From Harlem To Hollis

heat and hot harlem1The National Weather Service has issued a citywide for Friday, July 22 from 12:00 PM until Saturday, July 23 at 7:00 PM. These conditions are dangerous to health. Avoid strenuous activity. People without air conditioning, older adults, and people with chronic health conditions are most at risk. Cooling centers will be open. In addition, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for New York City for Friday 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM. Active children, adults, and people with lung disease such as asthma, should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors. For more information, visit dec.nyc.gov.
