Herbs, Oils, And Plants That Promote Hair Growth

Many naturals are skeptical when they see products that claim to grow hair fast, and long. Some companies claims can be deceitful, however there are herbs, and essential oils that actually aid in stimulating hair growth.

Here are our top ten herbs and essential oils that promote hair growth.

1. Horsetail

The horsetail plant is thin in size but packs a heavy punch! This green power machine is full of health benefits for urinary tract infection, bronchitis, nose bleed, broken bones, cardiovascular disease, and much more! When it comes to hair growth the silica found in the plant helps promote hair growth, as well as aid in hair loss. Horsetail can be found in most health food stores, can be taken in tea, added to shampoo or hair oils, and also taken as an extract.

2. Rosemary Oil

Rosemary oil is among one of the most popular essential oils. Rosemary oil has many health benefits including aiding in cramps, bloating, and is amazing for digestion.  Rosemary oil is said to help stimulate hair follicles, promoting growth, as well slows down premature hair loss. Rosemary oil can be added to your favorite hair care products, as well as taken as tea.

3. Peppermint Oil

Peppermint oil not only smells amazing, it also has many useful benefits. Peppermint oil helps alleviate migraines, fevers, indigestion, and more. Peppermint also removes dandruff, and relieves itchy scalp. Peppermint stimulates the scalp, promoting hair growth and removing built up dandruff that could be clogging the pores.

Burdock root contains vitamins C and E as well as folic acid. Burdock is especially good for skin ailments including eczema, psoriasis, and acne. When added to olive oil burdock root helps the hair follicles circulate more blood which increases hair growth.

5. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera lowers cholesterol and blood sugar, aids in cuts and skin ailments, is amazing for digestion, and works wonders for hair. Aloe Vera is packed with enzymes that help promote hair growth. Aloe vera can be ingested as well as applied directly to the scalp.

Tea tree oil is a great antibacterial oil. This super oil works wonders for acne, fungus, cold sore, respiratory problems, and more. Tea tree oil unclogs blocked sebaceous glands and helps stimulate hair growth.

7. Stinging Nettle

Nettle is an extremely powerful plant. Nettle helps ease the symptoms of asthma, aids in kidney health, eases hypertension, breaks down kidney stones and much more. Nettle oil helps combat against natural hair loss and can be ingested in capsule form, as well as tea or applied externally.

Lavender oil is known for its relaxing and soothing properties. Lavender oil is great for sleep, sore muscles, headaches, and also hair growth.
