Holiday Meal For Vulnerable New Yorkers At Harlem Soup Kitchen

December 21, 2017

On Friday, Food Bank For New York City (Food Bank) will serve a festive holiday meal to more than 500 New Yorkers in need of food, including an early seating just for seniors. Food Bank will also be providing take-home meals so New Yorkers can celebrate the holidays at home with family. New Yorkers expected to participate hail from all five boroughs.

Food Bank recently released a report on hunger citywide, showing that Central Harlem is the community with the highest meal gap in Manhattan. Food Bank’s Community Kitchen plays a vital role in ensuring vulnerable New Yorkers have access to healthy and nutritious food both during the holidays and year-round. And during the holiday season, every dollar donated to Food Bank provides ten meals to New Yorkers in need.

On the Menu:

Herbed Roast Chicken, Harvest Rice Pilaf, Southern-style Mac & Cheese, House-made Cranberry Sauce, Collard Greens cooked with Ham Hocks, Flaky Dinner Rolls, Roasted Vegetables, and Assorted Pies for dessert.

Friday, December 22nd, at 2:00 PM
