HW Pick: Celeb Chef Burke And Others Prep Meals For Homeless

david gueta randalp islandHarlem World Magazine loves events with people who feel its better than to receive, that’s why we love this event with Celebrity Chef David Burke who will prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal on Monday, Nov. 23, at 12 noon, for roughly 200 homeless men on Randalls Island. 

And to make the even extra special, his “line chefs” and “sous chefs” will be homeless men who are enrolled in the Culinary Arts Training Program run by HELP USA – a leading nonprofit which houses the homeless – at the Supportive Employment Center on the island. 

Celebrity Chef David Burke to prepare a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with HELP USA’S Culinary Arts Training Program, that will feed homeless men in attendance.

Chef David Burke, Maria Cuomo Cole, Chef Dan Maguire, Culinary Arts Trainees and 200 homeless men living on Randalls Island.

This Thanksgiving lunch will give homeless men an authentic holiday meal and will showcase HELP USA’s holistic approach to homelessness prevention.
