HW Pick: Meet The Funder, New York State Council On The Arts (NYSCA)

January 3, 2017

Calling all NY State artists from Harlem to Hollis! This event is free and open to the public with RSVP.

Every year the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) accepts grant proposals across disciplines in support of arts programming and projects. Many of these funding programs are open to artists, organizations, and groups operating with a fiscal sponsor.

NYFA will host a special NYSCA Grant Information Session with NYSCA Arts Program Director Arian Blanco on Wednesday, January 25, 2016 at 6:30 PM. This session will specifically cover the application for the Individual Artists category, however, those applying to other categories are welcome to attend. Artists at various career stages are welcome to apply. Grant amounts range from $5,000 to $25,000. All applicants must have proof of New York State residency.

This session is free but space is limited. Pre-registration is required, with RSVP here.

NYFA Fiscal Sponsorship staff will also be available to answer questions about the application process for sponsored applicants.

Not sure if you qualify for NYSC funding? Read more about last year’s grant categories by visiting NYSCA’s website.

Space is limited. Reserve your spot by clicking here.
