Pride and Gender: A Film Conversation celebrates LGBTQ Month with an amazing line up of films and guests.
The evening features the premiere screening of director Seyi Adebanjo’s film Oya: Something Happened on the Way to West Africa! Oya follows the filmmaker’s journey as a queer gender non-conforming Nigerian who connects with Òrìṣà tradition and the powerful legacy of their great grandmother, Chief Moloran Ìyá Ọlọ́ya.
Clairesa Clay, a founding member of Reel Sisters and first curator, will host the conversation with Sasha Alexander (BTM Founder) and Olympia Perez, members of Black Trans Media will join filmmakers Seyi Adebanjo and Skyler Cooper.
