John Legend To Appear On “Live from the Artists Den” At Riverside Church In Harlem

ABC/[easyazon_link identifier=”B0002CR086″ locale=”US” tag=”harlemworld-20″]Eddy Chen[/easyazon_link], [easyazon_link identifier=”B00EQRMLNM” locale=”US” tag=”harlemworld-20″]John Legend[/easyazon_link] will be among many artists featured on the upcoming twelfth season of PBS’ [easyazon_link identifier=”B0012QMY2I” locale=”US” tag=”harlemworld-20″]Live from the Artists Den[/easyazon_link].

Legend stars in the first episode, which premieres Thursday, September 7, 2017.

His performance will take place in Harlem‘s [easyazon_link identifier=”B01EU6MQV0″ locale=”US” tag=”harlemworld-20″]Riverside Church[/easyazon_link] in New York City, where the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his historic “[easyazon_link identifier=”B0042FERG2″ locale=”US” tag=”harlemworld-20″]Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break the Silence[/easyazon_link]” speech.

In a statement, John says, “I grew up playing in the church, so when I come back to the church, I feel a sense of nostalgia and connection that is really at the core of who I am as an artist.”

“Especially with this album, which I think draws from my gospel roots in a significant way, it means a lot to me to perform here.”
