Madison Square Boys & Girls Club Hosts Its 51st Annual Christmas Tree Ball At Cipriani’s

December 2, 2017

Madison Square Boys & Girls Club hosted its 51st Annual Christmas Tree Ball this evening, Friday, December 1st 2017, at Cipriani, located at 110 East 42nd Street in New York City.

This year marks the 51st year of the Christmas Tree Ball, which is a magnificent evening that embodies the true spirit of the holidays. Madison’s goal is to create programs for many of New York City’s youth who grow up in some of the most vulnerable economic and social conditions.

In addition to celebrating the holidays, the evening served as a special tribute to late Board of Trustees member and founding partner of the event, George J. Gillespie III, who passed away earlier this year. The event featured speeches by Executive Director Tim McChristian, Board of Trustees Co-Presidents Barry Bregman and Richard Eaddy, as well as Board Member Dan Mosley. The program also included a message from Event Co-Chairs Steve Gallucci and Allison Shure. Members from two of the organization’s Clubhouses performed dance routines as well.

Key attendees included Danish fashion model and photographer Helena Christensen, NFL Cornerback Buster Skrine, Model Damaris Lewis, Philanthropist Amber Sabathia, The Honorable Bruce S. Gelb, as well as many influential NYC leaders in various industries.

The event raised more than $1.5 million for the organization which will go toward Clubhouse improvements, enhancing programming, and operating costs.
