June 22, 2016

Maggie-and-melissa-double head shot1Join the world premiere performance of Lisa’s Room: A Dream by Melissa Shiflett, composer with Maggie Finnegan, soprano (pictured on the right), Douglas Anderson will be conducting and producing, and Rie Kano, assistant producer.

This special theatrical two-day event in Harlem incorporates the musical power of opera and the dramatic power of theater to delve into the dream world of a human brain. The result is an evening of music theater that is at once riveting, amusing, touching and above all entertaining.

Special bonus! Douglas Anderson’s short opera Faust Triumphant (critics called it “deliciously witty”) will be the curtain-raiser for the evening.

Come and see what happens when Mephistopheles grows tired of always being the seducer!

Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25, at 8 pm
