A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the lobby of a building in the Polo Ground public housing development, an NYPD spokesman said.

The man, who was not identified, was transported to Harlem Hospital by private means and his injuries are not considered life threatening, police said.

The NYPD is investigating the shooting and have not made any arrests, a department spokesman said.
