We nudged her regarding the $30,000 plate dinners, “Let’s remember that the people invited were those NYers (and Harlemites) that brought in big bucks during the last Obama campaign. So I was thrilled to hear that they chose to hold the event in Harlem even though most of us couldn’t afford to attend; there are some in our community who can. We need to be exposed to ‘the other side’ even when it’s just watching them go in and out of the Red Rooster Harlem.”
