New Bus Lane Coming To 125th Street In Harlem

August 26, 2015

m60There is transportation news to report on select bus service along 125th Street. Years of advocacy by leaders and transportation advocates has yielded these results.

Last week, DOT began work on a new dedicated bus lane on 125th Street. The lane will extend west of Lenox Avenue to Morningside Avenue. The idea behind the new transportation was that Harlem residents deserve transit options equal to anywhere else in the city and it’s said that this new lane will be a step in that direction. City Council member Mark Levine said that Uptown riders travelling west on 125th Street will soon benefit from speedier commutes and more reliable service.
