Harlem is a boxing village, from champion Harry “The Black Panther” Wills, the Joe Louis Restaurant & Bar, to Riddick Bowe’s new food spot. So, it was a no brainer, when we heard about NUVOtv’s premiere of season two boxing docu-series, KNOCKOUT, on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 10:00pm ET/PT.
Legendary trainers Floyd Mayweather Sr., “Sugar” Shane Mosley and John “Iceman” Scully are set to appear on season two.
In addition, Roy Jones Jr. will serve as host of the series in which nine fighters vie for a chance to fight in the finals and a chance to become top WBA contenders.
KNOCKOUT is an intense, action-packed boxing competition focusing on world class trainers Mayweather Sr., Mosley and Scully and their selected pro fighters. The series follows these boxers as they endure rigorous training regimens and prepare to go head-to-head in the ring. One by one, fighters will be eliminated, until a winner emerges in each of the three respective weight classes: Featherweight, Lightweight, and Cruiserweight.
Viewers will get an all-access look at not only the trainers, but also the fighters and what inspires them to compete. KNOCKOUT is produced by Steve Marcano Holdings and directed by award winning film and TV director Benny Boom.
