Margaret O’Connor Jackson serves as President of Marpeg Realty Corp. and Marcus Jackson Funeral Home, Inc., located at 3362 Boston Road, in the North East Bronx.

As President, she is responsible for day-to-day operations; in 1976, the expansion, reorganization, and acquisition of the family’s second funeral home in the North East Bronx. She is a licensed Funeral Director, New York State, and is experienced in management of the funeral business.

For over fifty years she was an active resident of the Harlem community. She served for six years as a member of Community Planning Board #10, for two years, she served as Chairperson. She has also had the honor of serving as past Treasurer of the Harlem YWCA Board of Directors. For eighteen years, acted as coordinator of volunteers for the annual Thanksgiving Day feeding and for six years, was the Chairperson of the Annual Awards’ Dinner for the Harlem Temple Corp of the Salvation Army. She is a member of St. Philips’s Episcopal Church, served as Chairperson of their Annual Awards Dinner; for twenty years she maintained the position of President, now President Emeritus, of Martin Luther King, Jr. Democratic Club; a life time member of the NAACP; and as a cancer survivor, proudly volunteered as a speaker with North General Hospital Cancer Prevention and Treatment Center.

As a proud member of the North East Bronx community, she resides with her family.

The funeral will be Sunday June 7th, 2015 at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church 204 West 134th Street. Viewing from 2-4PM and Requiem Mass at 4PM.
