In mid-October, Harlem’s Azealia Banks filed a battery report against Russell Crowe. On December 7th, 2016, TMZ reports that a Los Angeles County District Attorney is rejecting the charges against Crowe.

In the report, Banks claimed that Crowe assaulted her by spitting on her and forcibly removing her from a Beverly Hills party. Now, the D.A. says that his behavior was justified, because Banks was out of control and threatening to act violent to the rest of the room.

According to TMZ, several witnesses to the October incident confirmed that Banks picked up a glass and threatened to use it to cut the throat of a party guest. The initial report stated that Crowe carried Banks out of the party once she grabbed the glass and threatened to stab someone “like some real Tarantino shit.” Eyewitnesses also said that Banks used the language, “you would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat.”

In terms of Crowe’s behavior, the D.A said that Crowe spitting at Banks was “incidental to preventing more serious threatened violence.” Additionally, one of the witnesses says the spit didn’t hit Banks.

Banks has been on one for a while now. As a well-documented Donald Trump supporter, she recently came out and said she felt vindicated by Trump’s victory in the presidential election.

The 25-year-old MC has also admitted that she bleaches her skin, and said she “did it to assimilate.” She’s even used the homophobic slur “faggot” throughout her career despite stating in her music that she gets romantic with ladies.
