Creative Art Works hires Youth Apprentices and as an approved worksite manager with the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development’s Summer Youth Employment Program, it works in partnership with social service agencies such as PAL.  This mural project marks the third collaboration with the Police Athletic League. PAL also celebrates the power of the arts by partnering with Creative Art Works on Saturday workshops for children and with PAL’s juvenile justice programs.

New York City’s Police Athletic League is the first and finest civilian-run PAL in the country. Founded in 1914, PAL has served the city’s young people for over 100 years.  PAL provides recreational, educational, cultural and social activities to 35,000 boys and girls annually.  It is also the city’s largest, independent, nonprofit youth organization.
