hit-and-run-in-harlem1Police are searching for a suspect in a November hit-and-run that occurred on West 155th Street — often considered the borderline between Harlem and Washington Heights.

A man crossing through the intersection at West 155th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue around 4:35 a.m. on Nov. 21 was struck by a white four-door sedan, police told Patch. The driver of the vehicle left the scene after striking the victim, police said.

Police video of the collision shows the victim, a 38-year-old man, running across the street when he is hit by the vehicle which appears to be moving at a rather high speed. After the collision the vehicle appears to accelerate, according to the police video. It is unclear whether the pedestrian or the driver had the right-of-way.

The pedestrian was transported to St. Luke’s hospital where he was treated for his injuries, police said.

Here’s the video:

There was a witness to see the hit-and-run at the bottom left of the video in a large jacket with a hood.
